The change is spectacular, almost startling. The Latimeria amphitheatre and the entrance to the Faculty of Science at Marien Ngouabi University now boast a completely new look, the result of a renovation project undertaken by the Burotop Iris Foundation. Where time and use had left their mark, today there’s a renovated, more welcoming setting, worthy of the students and teachers who live their daily academic lives there. An eloquent before and after that speaks for itself.
Beyond the visual transformation, it’s the symbolism that’s worth highlighting. Restoring a place of learning to its former glory sends a strong message to the entire university community: the environment in which you study matters, and plays a key role in the quality of the training you receive. By investing in this field, the Burotop Iris Foundation confirms the conviction that underlies its actions: that of a corporate citizen attentive to the concrete learning conditions of Congolese youth.
