The BUROTOP IRIS Foundation, in collaboration with Fablab, supported the STEM Ambassador program which accompanied 19 young girls for 4 weeks.
The aim of this program was to train and inspire a new generation of girls in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Week 1: Introduction to STEM
Participants kicked off their adventure with workshops on modeling and 3D printing, discovering the basics of technology and science.

Week 2: Inspiring encounters
The girls had the chance to talk to professionals like Mariusca the Slammer, Ronnie Nsafou from the NGO Butterfly, and representatives from NGOs like Congo Dream Tech, who shared their experience and advice on STEM involvement and opportunities.

Week 3: Leadership and Innovation
During this week, a workshop on female leadership led by SB Academy President Stell Balossa enabled participants to explore the qualities needed to become leaders in the STEM field.

Week 4: Prototype presentation and graduation
The final week saw the girls present their prototypes, testifying to their creativity and hard work.
The graduation ceremony, attended by French Ambassador Claire Bodonyi, Mr Gildas (UnionLab) and BUROTOP IRIS Foundation Director Diana Attye, brought this enriching experience to a close.

Closing the Month of March
It’s a great way to close the month of March, celebrating the hard work of participants who are ready to become STEM ambassadors.
The BUROTOP IRIS Foundation is proud to have contributed to their journey and congratulates them on their perseverance.
